Looking back at 2020 and season's greetings for 2021

What did we manage to do at the fund over the whole year? Take a look back with us at a short review of the successes of the Neuron Endowment Fund in 2020:

• at the beginning of the year we organised the inspiring conference Science as the fuel of modern business, where Neuron Award laureates explained to the general public the positive impact of science on business and enterprise.
• since the spring we have been holding regular online Neuron Clubs so that we have the right scientific perspectives on the situation that has been with us for several months.
• in the summer we presented to the general public the results of the successful Neuron Expedition Dzamba ya lobi and the project Ask the scientists with Aktuálně.cz
• in the autumn, on the Day of Czech Statehood, we managed to present the prestigious Extraordinary Neuron Awards at the State Opera, broadcast live by Czech Television, and to thank everyone who is helping us so much in these days
• towards the end of the year we organised the panel discussion The pandemic: facts and the nearest outlook
• in these very days we were delighted by Filip Matějka and Daniel Kosař, laureates of the prestigious Neuron Awards, who won the "gold medal" in science, namely ERC grants.

Even though this year has put us through great trials, we have been reassured of how important our fund's role for society is. The age of the scientists has come and the public is ready to take more interest in their results and to understand why supporting science, to which we devote ourselves with love at the Neuron Endowment Fund, is so important. But none of it would be possible without the support of our patrons, supporters and partners. Great thanks are due to them.
