NADACE NEURON PERSONAL DATA PROTECTION POLICY

I. Basic provisions

  • The controller of personal data under Article 4(7) of Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council on the protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data (hereinafter the “GDPR”) is Nadace Neuron, Company ID 19319321, with its registered office at Na Příkopě 583/15, 110 00 Praha 1.

  • Personal data means any information relating to an identified or identifiable data subject. A data subject is considered identified or identifiable if the data subject can be identified directly or indirectly, in particular by reference to a number, a code or one or more factors specific to their physical, physiological, mental, economic, cultural or social identity.
  • A data subject means the natural person to whom the personal data relate and who is a supporter of Nadace Neuron, that is, a person who in any way and of their own will takes part in the activities of Nadace Neuron or supports the work or activities of Nadace Neuron.

II. Scope of personal data processing

  • Nadace Neuron processes personal data to the following extent: a) identification data: first name, surname b) contact details: permanent or temporary residential address, delivery or other contact address, email address, telephone (hereinafter the “personal data”)
  • Nadace Neuron may further combine all of these data with lawfully published personal data about the data subject available in publicly accessible sources

III. Collection and processing of personal data

  • Nadace Neuron processes personal data in accordance with the applicable legislation, in particular with Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR) on the protection of personal data, as amended (hereinafter the “Personal Data Protection Act”).
  • Nadace Neuron is entitled to collect, process and monitor the data subject's personal data and other data.
  • Nadace Neuron processes its supporters' personal data and other data exclusively itself. Only on the basis of a contract and under the statutory conditions may personal data and other data concerning a supporter be handed over to another controller for processing.

IV. Purpose of personal data processing

  • Personal data and other data to the extent set out above may be processed by Nadace Neuron for the purpose of subsequent communication with the supporter concerned by email, telephone call, postal correspondence or text message in the following matters of Nadace Neuron:

    • informing about the activities of Nadace Neuron in the Czech Republic and abroad
    • sending the newsletter, informing about events and other suitable opportunities to get involved
    • providing further activities connected with taking part in the foundation's work or supporting it

V. Consent to the processing of personal data

  • Consent to the processing of personal data under this Policy is given by the supporter to Nadace Neuron as the controller of personal data pursuant to Article IV of this Policy.

VI. Period for which consent is given

  • The supporter gives consent to the processing of personal data for an indefinite period, or until the supporter withdraws the consent. Consent to the processing of personal data is voluntary. The data subject is entitled to withdraw the consent at any time through the standard communication channels. Once the consent has been withdrawn, Nadace Neuron will ensure that all of the data subject's data are deleted from the database and are no longer processed.

VII. The data subject's access to their personal data

  • From the moment of being entered into the database, the supporter has the right to ask Nadace Neuron at any time for information about the processing of their personal data. In such a case Nadace Neuron will provide the supporter with information to the extent laid down by the Personal Data Protection Act.

VIII. Your rights

Under the conditions laid down in the GDPR you have:

  • the right of access to your personal data under Article 15 of the GDPR,
  • the right to rectification of personal data under Article 16 of the GDPR, or to restriction of processing under Article 18 of the GDPR,
  • the right to erasure of personal data under Article 17 of the GDPR,
  • the right to object to processing under Article 21 of the GDPR and
  • the right to data portability under Article 20 of the GDPR,
  • the right to withdraw consent to processing in writing or electronically to the controller's address or email given in Article I of these terms,
  • the right to lodge a complaint with the Office for Personal Data Protection (Úřad pro ochranu osobních údajů) if you believe that your right to the protection of personal data has been infringed.

IX. Personal data security conditions

  • Nadace Neuron declares that it has taken all appropriate technical and organisational measures to secure personal data.
  • Nadace Neuron has taken technical measures to secure its data storage and its storage of personal data in paper form, in particular passwords and antivirus software.
  • Nadace Neuron declares that only persons authorised by it have access to personal data.

X. Use of information about visitors to the Nadace Neuron website

  • The Nadace Neuron website may contain links to various websites, in particular to social networks such as Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, X, YouTube and the like. These links are not part of the Nadace Neuron website but of third-party websites, which may use cookies that track the data subject's activity on the internet. Third-party cookies are governed by those third parties' personal data protection policies. Cookies can be blocked in the settings of the browser concerned.
  • The Nadace Neuron website may collect technical data about the visitor's request for content from the server, to the extent of IP address, time of the request, browser type and operating system. The Nadace Neuron website means any content obtained from the content accessible on the domains owned by Nadace Neuron na podporu vědy.

XI. Final provisions

  • You agree to these terms by ticking the consent box in the online form. By ticking the consent box you confirm that you have read the personal data protection terms and that you accept them in full.
  • Nadace Neuron is entitled to change these terms. It will publish the new version of the personal data protection terms on its website and at the same time send you the new version of these terms to the email address you have provided to Nadace Neuron. These terms take effect on 23 May 2023.
