Artificial intelligence — a path beyond the boundaries of human thought?

What is artificial intelligence (AI)? Will intelligent robots replace humans in the near future, or is there nothing to fear because today's "artificial intelligence" is still only large statistical models and machine learning? What is the role of hardware in the development of artificial intelligence and what is its potential in education or health care?

All this was discussed by leading Czech scientists — Neuron Award laureates — with the public at the conference Science as the fuel of modern business, which we held with the aim of motivating the professional public to actively implement the findings of basic research in their working and personal lives.
