We have fulfilled another Children's Scientific Dream

23 August 2018

At Neuron we fulfilled several of Daniel Svoboda's small scientific dreams. Dan is passionate about everything to do with astronomy and space — but not only that. He enjoys 3D printing and robots too. He sent us a lovely message from a visit to the planetarium in Hamburg.

Splnili jsme další Dětský vědecký sen

Marvellous Neuron! Many thanks to your whole team for fulfilling my Children's Scientific Dream. Thanks to you I am richer by a lot of new scientific experiences. First I had an absolutely wonderful day at the Jablotron company with Mr Dědek. Operating the Jablotron 100 alarm is my passion and the best book for me is the Jablotron 100 manual :-) Then I received from Neuron a 3D printer kit from Prusa Research — I built it myself and print marvellous little things. I plan to use it for an autumn project of Charles University — Přírodovědci.cz. The tour of the Faculty of Electrical Engineering of the Czech Technical University was very interesting; what caught my attention most there were the robots, which I would like to program one day. And finally, in July I flew to the Planetarium in Hamburg, which is beautiful and enormous. I had a wonderful 12 hours there! I saw 8 films and got 7 pairs of virtual reality goggles. I was lucky with the excellent staff, who looked after me all day. I saw all the projection equipment and even got onto the roof of the planetarium. I gave my English a good workout, and according to the planetarium staff it is not nearly as bad as I thought. Thank you all very, very much for the wonderful experiences and encounters I have had thanks to you. With warmest greetings, Dan

Within the Children's Scientific Dream project we supported the scientific wish of one exceptionally talented young pupil each year from 2014 to 2018. David Dvorský, for instance, got to CERN thanks to us in 2014. A year later we arranged a placement for the young biochemist Honza, who then succeeded at the international competition ISEF 2017.
