The Sun Kings at the National Museum

The long-awaited exhibition The Sun Kings has opened, charting the greatest discoveries of Czech Egyptology at the Abusir site. Set out on a journey through the successes of Czech Egyptology, where you will find rare original loans from all over the world. The exhibition was prepared over years by Professor Miroslav Verner and his team together with Professor Miroslav Bárta, who will also give patrons and supporters of Neuron an exclusive guided tour.

The Sun Kings is the exhibition of the century, and preparing it took immense human effort. Over the years Professor Miroslav Verner's team had to cope with many pitfalls. At one point there was war in Egypt, then there was no political will to negotiate about lending the exhibits, until at last it proved possible to bring all the parties together. Visitors in this country thus have a unique opportunity to appreciate the results of the research of Czech Egyptology and to examine original Egyptian artefacts.
