Best wishes for 2026: looking back at 2025

Looking back at the past year at Neuron, we see one common theme: curiosity. It stood behind groundbreaking discoveries, bold expeditions, student missions and debates about the future of science, health and innovation.

We honoured outstanding Czech scientists, were there at the discovery of the world's largest underground thermal lake, supported expeditions to distant corners of the planet and young talents who are already changing the world around them — the student Claudia, for instance, with her AI project for diagnosing fungal diseases.

None of it would have been possible without you — patrons, partners, scientists and supporters who believe that knowledge matters and is important to the development of our society. Thank you for being with us on this journey.

We enter 2026 with a clear goal: to awaken curiosity, especially among the young. Because every great discovery begins with a question. And because science is beautiful.

Be informed

Discoveries lie waiting all around, do not let them slip by! Every month we will send you a fresh batch of information about the world of science and Neuron.
