Thank you for your applications to the Neuron Expedition

We have closed the grant procedure for the Neuron Expedition. The expedition jury is now selecting finalists from the twenty applications for funding of field research. Thank you for your presentations and videos.

A journey north in search of sharks, an expedition to southern Africa or the study of a landscape after a meteorite impact. The expedition council now has a choice of journeys to the most varied corners of the world from scientists in a range of fields — it will evaluate the applications submitted during February and, on the basis of the total points awarded by each juror, will determine three finalists. We will invite them at the end of March to give presentations in person, and one winner will emerge from those. They will receive up to CZK 1,000,000 for their Neuron Expedition.

We will officially announce the winner at an evening devoted to the Neuron Expeditions. At the end of spring the event will also present news from previous expeditions; Marie Šabacká will talk about her current trip to Uganda in search of tropical glaciers, and there will be a premiere of the film shot by Tomáš Jůnek's team during the expedition to Congo.
