Otakar Šuffner

Otakar Šuffner is the co-founder and CEO of FTMO, the modern Czech prop platform that helps people
around the world earn through simulated trading. He studied at the Prague University of Economics
and Business, specialising in banking and insurance.

He put his great passion for trading to use while still a student: in 2014, together with his
university friend Marek Vašíček, he founded FTMO, a new platform for
traders. After years of hard work it became the first platform of its kind for trading on simulated
markets anywhere in the world.

Otakar Šuffner holds the title of technology entrepreneur of the year 2022. FTMO regularly takes
first place in Deloitte's ranking of the fastest-growing companies and appears on the list of the
most valuable companies in the Czech Republic. It collects further awards abroad as well.

As CEO, Otakar now sets the direction of the whole company, coming up with new ideas and ambitious
projects that reach beyond the platform's primary business model. Before FTMO he also gained
experience in administration at Raiffeisenbank and tested applications at the consultancy Accenture.

Thanks to Otakar Šuffner and Marek Vašíček, FTMO clients around the world have earned more than
4.5 billion crowns.
