How Expedition Neuron searched for asexual basilisks

From Prague to Tegucigalpa, across Honduras and back again. The Neuron Expedition's journey Neuron Expedition to the Asexual Basilisk in December took them to Central America to investigate whether Laemanctus julioi is asexual in nature. The expedition team collected samples and preserved them. "Now we need to verify what species we have mapped, we need to isolate the DNA of the basilisk and further sequence the biological material, carry out parasitological and other examinations," says Lukáš Kratochvíl, the leader of the expedition, describing his plans for the coming months.
