Anežka Kuzmičová

Member of the Scientific council of Social Sciences

Anežka Kuzmičová is a pioneer in the discipline which represents a new concept of literacy research in children and adults. She graduated from Charles University and Stockholm University. Kuzmičová's work is based on the assumption that reading skills and experiences represent a layered interplay of linguistic, technological, physical, personality and cultural aspects and are influenced by social evaluation. Such a connection of disciplines is not common in the humanities, her approach in a combination of methods is unique in the Czech and global context. In 2022, she received the Neuron Award for Promising Scientists and later prestigious ERC grant.
