Neuron Expedition For the Lost Mayan City

LIDAR laser scans showed that an important city of the Maya civilisation lies hidden in northern Guatemala. And how did people live there, what did their society and culture look like? What will the finds reveal about the Maya civilisation? The answers were brought by the Neuron Expedition For the Lost Mayan City, which set out for the Petén province in July 2023 as the first archaeological party to survey the site and prepare a model of it. The six-member team of Ladislav Šilhán, an expert in 3D visualisation, was supported by Neuron with more than a million crowns.
