Nomination for the Neuron Awards 2026 for excellent young scientists
Who nominates:
Nominations are submitted by researchers, academics or research organisations. A scientist may not nominate themselves for a Neuron Award
Nomination deadline:
Nominations are open and have been extended until 30 April 2026.
Nomination conditions
- The Neuron Award for excellent young scientists takes into account the research results achieved so far, their contribution and possibilities, and the promise of further research. The laureates are decided by the scientific board of Nadace Neuron.
- A scientific talent may be nominated for the Neuron Award for excellent young scientists if they are a citizen of the Czech Republic or hold permanent residence there and are able to communicate in Czech (or Slovak).
- In addition, they must have received their doctorate (Ph.D.) no more than ten years before the date the Neuron Awards are announced, allowing for any interruptions due to parental leave, long-term illness and the like.
- We present the award to as many as seven outstanding scientific talents, in these fields: mathematics, physics, biology, chemistry, medicine, computer science and social sciences.
- The award is accompanied by a personal financial prize of CZK 500,000.
