Neuron Expedition discovered the world's largest thermal lake

A Czech research team achieved an extraordinary success in geological research. In southern Albania, in the Vromoner area, the Neuron Expedition Atmos revealed the world's largest underground thermal lake.

Nadace Neuron supported the expedition with 988 thousand crowns and so made it possible to acquire the key equipment that led to the confirmation of this discovery of world importance.

The lake was named Neuron in the foundation's honour.
