On Monday, November 14, 2022, Jan Nekovář, professor at the Sorbonne in Paris and winner of the 2019 Neuron Prize in Mathematics, died in Paris after a long and difficult illness at the age of 59. Czech and world mathematics has lost an exceptional personality. Honour his memory.
