Looking back at 2019

This year is drawing to a close, and before we step into the new one, allow us a short look back at everything that has happened with us.
Right at the start of the year we welcomed new members to our scientific board who, under the leadership of the top economist Filip Matějka, guarantee the selection of the best scientific talents in the field of social sciences. Strong scientific stories resonate in culture too — the play The Elegance of the Molecule at the Dejvice Theatre, whose creation we supported, was declared by critics the best Czech play of 2018. There was great interest in the scientists we have honoured — they appeared under the Neuron flag at significant Czech summits and festivals. In cooperation with Mall.TV we launched the programme "Scientists under the microscope", in which we gradually introduced to the public 12 portraits of scientists honoured by Neuron. We held several gatherings within the Neuron community and celebrated five years of the Neuron Expeditions and 10 years of presenting the Neuron Awards.
