David and a dream come true on a placement at CERN

David Dvorský is a young astrophysics enthusiast. One of his childhood dreams was to visit CERN. We made that dream come true in 2014. Take inspiration from his story.

David a splněný sen na stáži v CERNu

At the Children's Science Conference held in November 2013 by the Faculty of Science of Charles University with the support of the Neuron Foundation, David gave a conference paper on the subject "Black holes versus wormholes".

David proved to be a very talented particle physicist whose greatest dream in life is a study trip to the European particle physics laboratory CERN in Geneva. For his superb performance at the conference he also took home an award. The board of the Neuron Foundation decided to motivate this promising young scientist and support him in his thirst for knowledge. David Dvorský thus won a three-day visit to Switzerland with a guided tour of CERN. At AFO (Academia Film Olomouc), David and Honza then fulfilled another dream — they met Richard Dawkins and Lawrence M. Krauss.
